Mr. Foster's Snow Day
by Marilyn L. Lindemann
Born to run in Kentucky bluegrass, Mr. Foster frolics in the rare & deep snowfall near Louisville. His pasture turned to a winter wonderland, this opportunity was just too good to pass up. So, run he did as his thoroughbred genes dictated. Adding his own leaps & bounds far too creative for Churchill Downs, he punctuates the transformed landscape creating his own patterns in the drifts colorfully adorned in the late afternoon light.
Inspired by a photo taken by Mister Foster’s owners Johnny & Lee Anne Hines. Lee Anne, works with Cantor, an organization dedicated to finding homes for race horses “to be adopted or purchased for retraining in new careers.”
Returning to the barn steaming from his kind of joyous furlong, this day is truly, ‘Mister Foster’s Snow Day’.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:18
