Records of a life well lived archived not on the finest parchment, but on the aged patina of barn boards. Monumental as a promotion, these milestones read like the most acclaimed accomplishments on a resume’. This homestead reveals the proud efforts that have driven our country to greatness. Challenges of carving a life out of a wilderness in a foreign land with willing family & draft horses to defy the forces of nature, battle the onslaught of city growth & bureaucracy, & finally, the challenge of technology. But people are still drawn to the horse in the many & varied breeds, choosing to be blessed by their dutiful natures & slowing to the ways of the past. And as the Summer sun rises to touch the face of God, the inscription, ” This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad & rejoice in it.”( Psalm 118:24) can be our blessing, too.
